Xeno-physeae Blooms

Xeno-physeae Blooms’ physical manifestation is a modern adaptation of the buoyant vessels. The deficiency within traditional boats is due to their static nature, designed to perform best in a steady environment. This project illustrates a living ecosystem that emphasizes fluctuating water lines by directly responding to its conditions. Instability as the primary focus leads to a series of deployable modules that transform based on the water level. Embracing mechanisms and joinery tectonic, the kinetic water station aims to revitalize the Buffalo shoreline. This encourages human interaction with the water through the layout of programs that resemble prevalent algae blooms present in Lake Erie.
